Molly’s Nativity

January 5, 2009

My seven year-old niece made this Nativity. “I didn’t have time to make Joseph.”
I loved it so much, I asked if I could take photographs…and put them on my blog. She seemed quite taken with the proposition.

So I did not realize that that creation appears to have involved the use of REAL hot glue. WOW. Some supervising adult was very brave.

I think that before I ever let any of my children use a hot glue gun, I will explain blisteringly painful burns to them–and make them look at photographs of hot-glue burns online. That’s not too harsh, is it?

Let me say it again. This is one of the most beautiful things I’ve seen in a long, long time.

Um, yeah…. Molly… hee-hee… Had no supervision with the hot glue gun. She wasn’t supposed to be using it. Erm… yeah. THAT sure makes my family sound neglectful.
